We want to have partnerships with the local church to provide an onramp for serving the local orphans in foster care.

Founded by believers who have been deeply impacted by the Gospel of Christ, we seek to be the hands and feet of Christ to every child and family in our care. We receive support from local churches, both financially and by mobilizing volunteers. Continue reading to learn more.

Because of our beliefs, out of the abundance of grace we have received, we strive to extend that grace toward any person with whom we come in contact, without discrimination. If you have questions or concerns about this, we would love to talk to you more about it.

 Financial Partnership

We couldn’t do what we do without our transformational donors! Transformational donors commit to $500 a month and/or $6,000 annually, along with many other churches who commit to give monthly.

“Three reasons our church family partners with The Sanctuary financially: first, they have a ministry mindset, evidenced by the number of efforts beyond traditional foster care. Second, they view the church as an asset in the work they are doing, not as a necessary evil or liability. Third, The Sanctuary helps us do what we are called to do as a church family in the area of orphan care.”
- Trent Henderson, Pastor @ Heritage Park Baptist Church

Mobilizing Volunteers

It takes a village! And that is so true for us. We offer the local church many ways for individuals in the congregation to take a step towards following God’s call to care for the orphan. Here is a snapshot of ways to get involved:

MEET NEEDS

Invite your congregation to provide meals, meet physical needs, etc. through CarePortal

SERVE AT EVENTS

Recruit small groups or Sunday school classes to serve at our events

PROVIDE VOLUNTEERS

Encourage your congregation to join one of our volunteer teams

PROMOTE FOSTERING & ADOPTION

Raise up individuals to foster and adopt

INCLUDE THE SANCTUARY IN SERVICES

While we strive to give our staff the sabbath to rest and refresh from the hard work of foster care support, we will strive to send an equipped volunteer representative when staff is not available to attend.

HOST PARTIES

Offer facilities to host the Christmas party or other foster family events

HOST CLASSES

Offer facilities to host foster care classes or TBRI trainings

“Upon my initial meeting with Amanda and Megan from The Sanctuary Foster Care Services, it was evident that this was a carefully and prayerfully put together ministry for foster care children and families. It brought tears to my eyes to hear them share their personal stories of how God has, and continues to bring about transformation in so many lives. It is truly something special, and our church is honored to be a part of what is happening at The Sanctuary.”
- Amy Alston, Go Local Ministry @ Clear Creek Community Church

CarePortal

CarePortal is a technology connecting platform that brings the needs of hurting children and families in our community to your attention. Caseworkers and agencies uncover the needs. CarePortal makes local churches and community members aware, giving them a real-time opportunity to respond.

WHY CAREPORTAL?

This portal is an efficient and convenient way for our partner churches to meet material and volunteer needs for local families and is a powerful mechanism for the church to accept God’s calling to care for orphans.
