The support makes

all the difference.

Four Pillars of Care

Therapy & In-Home Support

Our staff includes a fully licensed Clinical department trained in Trust-Based Relational Intervention, a trauma-informed approach to help kids who have deep trauma from abuse and neglect. This includes both in-office therapy and in-home support. It is offered to the foster child, the foster parent(s), and the biological children of the foster parent(s).

24-Hr In-Person Crisis Intervention

Children with trauma can have great difficulty in regulating their emotions due to the abuse and neglect they have experienced. This dis-regulation happens often in the evenings or when at home and can be very overwhelming for the foster family. We have a 24-hr hotline for all Sanctuary families to call when an emergency happens and a staff member will arrive at their location within 30 minutes to help calm both the child and the family.

Alternative Care

We train and certify Alternative Care Providers who are able to provide babysitting (up to 8 hours), overnight care (up to 72 hours), or respite care (up to fourteen days). Foster care can be very hard due to the impact of severe trauma, so times of rest for our Sanctuary parents are extremely important.

Community Support

We have an army of volunteers from the community ready to provide meals, meet tangible needs when they arise, help host foster family events, and a wide range of other community-based support. We have a great village!
