This group is a place for foster, adoptive, and kinship parents to come together to receive support and encouragement from families on the same journey. Our goal is connect you with information, support, and encouragement in order to continue to care for the children in your home - for however long they are there! The group meets every Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at South Main Baptist Church.
Child-care is available for children of all ages. Children ages 3 to 18 will be welcome to church’s programming for their age group.
There is an optional meal for $7 per person offered from 5:30 - 6:30pm. Children eat free with adult meal.

Clear Lake | Spook-tacular Cookie Workshop
We invite our Foster and Adoptive Families to join us for a morning of decorating (and eating) sugar cookies! Each kid will receive two cookies and piping bag to decorate with along with group instruction! Parents are desired and required to attend. There will be cookie tray and beverages in the party room.
This event is hosted in Clear Lake but open to all of our families. There will be volunteers to help with the kiddos and support the parents. If you have any questions, please contact Christel Wessel at cwessel@sanctuaryfostercare.org.

We are so excited to invite foster, adoptive, and kinship families to join in our annual Fun Run with a combined family event! We invite foster/kinship & adoptive families to join us for a morning of pumpkin painting, outdoor lawn games, indoor activities, and jump house while enjoying hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch! This event is hosted in Clear Lake but open to all of our families. There will be volunteers to help with the kiddos and support the parents. The Sanctuary Hope Family Camp: Fall 2026
Sanctuary of Hope Family Camp is for adoptive families with the goal to provide the tools for children and families to build connection and healing. Hope Camp is a TBRI intensive, teaching the methodology of Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) at an age-appropriate level for every one in the family.
This will be held at Sugar Creek Baptist Church - Rosenberg Campus Friday & Saturday, Sept. 25 - 26th with varying times (See schedule below) This is a fee-based activity and there are five spots available for families. This is for only for adoptive and pre-adoptive families. Please inquire for more details.
Registration is required for to attend this event. The registration window will close on September 5, 2026.

We have a couple volunteers offering their boats for us to enjoy the morning fishing on the water. All equipment will be provided for fishing. This event is limited to so registration is VERY important!
Details for this event will be coming soon. In honor of safety, this will be an age-restricted event.

Foster + Adoptive Family | Art & Movie Day
We invite our foster, adoptive, and kinship families to join us for a morning of crafts and movie! The kids will be making their own flag and DIY party poppers to celebrate the 250th celebration of 4th of July with red, white, and blue SnoCones! We will enjoy a family friendly movie and Chick-fil-A for lunch! If you have any questions, please contact Christel Wessel at cwessel@sanctuaryfostercare.org.

Brain Builders Play Group
Come and meet with other parents of kids ages 0-3 to engage in supportive conversations while learning about and practicing activities that promote brain development!
