    They do equine therapy at Brookside Ranch and we use an approach called Natural Lifemanship, which is based on developing connection and emotional regulation of the nervous system.

    This can help children in foster care to build a connection. They can work as a family utilizing Natural Lifemanship principles with the horses.  The principles are designed to be transferable and compatible with how we connect in human relationships as well as emotional regulation.

    The sessions are most beneficial when the parents are apart of it with the kid or teen.

  • Kids Developmental Clinic is an outpatient pediatric rehabilitation facility established to address the developmental and clinical needs of children in the Houston area. They offer speech, physical, and occupational therapy and is covered by Medicaid.

  • Our Fort Bend Support Group is hosted at Grand Parkway Baptist Church in conjunction with their Midweek Classes. It is on Wednesday evenings from 6:45 to 8:00PM and child care for children of all ages including youth group for kids in 6th grade and above. Registration is required for children ages 2 and under.

Resources for Youth Aging Out of the System

  • Helps current and former foster youth understand their legal rights, provide legal advice, assistance, guidance, and representation in enforcing foster youth rights.

  • Beth-Haran House, a division of Jane Around the World, is a tranformational living facility that comes alongside young women aging out of foster care and generally at-risk of homelessness, with a goal for each youth to get to sustainable independent living.   • Angel Reach works with young adults ages 16-24 who have aged out of foster care and/or are homeless. They provide housing options, home furniture, clothing, and more.

  • Supports young women who have aged out of the foster care system. Their desire is for each resident to grow in her relationship with Jesus Christ while receiving room and board, educational support, budget coaching, and therapy.

  • Our Daughters House exists to help young women between the ages of 18-25 who have aged out of foster care find stable housing. All applicants must be clean and sober for a minimum of 60 days prior to applying and be able to manage mental health issues with medication and outpatient counseling support.
