Why did we expand?

We have grown... quickly! To effectively provide Trust-Based Relational Intervention and Wraparound Care to meet the increasing need to care for foster children in our area, we believe we must expand our operation with a second location/branch in Fort Bend County. Our three most important pieces in this growth are 1) staffing, 2) office space and 3) close proximity to our foster families.

With already having both board and staff as well as several kids, families and prospective families living in Fort Bend, this location made the most sense for our next branch. We officially opened our doors on Dec. 1st!

What It Took to Open Our Doors

In 2018, a group of founders put together the plan to stand up and to raise $150,000 to officially open The Sanctuary Foster on April 1, 2020. Without their planning and the generosity of many like-minded people, we would not be here today.

To open our Fort Bend Branch, we put out a call for a new generation of donors and sponsors to help us continue bringing permanence and healing to the foster kids in our community. Through individuals, churches, grants, and businesses, we successfully raised the $175,000 needed to open the Fort Bend Branch.

Thank you to our many founding donors who gave $500 or more to help us open Fort Bend. Just like at our Clear Lake Branch, the Fort Bend founding donors will be listed on our website as well as on the wall of our new Fort Bend office.
