Training: Physical Aggression and Physical Holds (PAPH)

CLASS DESCRIPTION
PAPH teaches strategies to de-escalate a child and the correct ways to restrain a child when all other attempts have failed, and the child has become a danger to themselves or others. The class discusses how to escape from a bite, hair pull, and chokehold. This course is for new families, licensed foster and respite homes, babysitters, and overnight care providers.

Note: There is an in-person portion of the course for skills practice that will be scheduled with your trainer during the ZOOM course. Scheduling may vary.

Click the link below to register for your chosen training date! Once you've selected your date, please remember to add it to your calendar, as we're unable to send out training reminders.

PLEASE NOTE: This online training will be held on Zoom. Look for the Zoom link conveniently located just above the Training Calendar.

PLEASE NOTE REGARDING PAPH: We are pleased to extend our classes to members of the community outside of Sanctuary foster parents. Community members are welcome to take any class except for PAPH. Attending our classes will not apply toward licensing credit for another agency but can count for Continuing Education (CE) credits and a CE certificate with this explanation will be provided upon class completion. Due to liability purposes, PAPH is only offered to those becoming licensed or currently licensed with The Sanctuary Foster Care Services and cannot be offered to those outside of the agency.
