Training: MAPP, TSSI & The Sanctuary Handbook

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
MAPP (Medication Administration Processes and Procedures) gives foster parents an overview of psychotropic medications and side effects, how to administer the medication, and how to ensure they are giving informed consent.

TSSI: ”T” stands for transportation and teaches parents the current transportation regulations with regards to car seat installation and seat placement of a child. “SS” stands for SIDS and Shaken Baby and discusses the trends noted in SIDS cases and the injuries caused by shaking a baby. “I” stands for infant safety and goes over all of the state regulations when it comes to infant care.

The Sanctuary Handbook teaches foster parents the specific processes and procedures that are unique to The Sanctuary. The class explains everything from discipline policy to traveling away from home with a foster child.
