Training: TIC 1 & 2 (TBRI is Trauma-Informed & Whole Child)

CLASS DESCRIPTION
TIC (Trauma-Informed Cared) 1 is an introduction to trauma and why it is crucial that foster parents understand trauma and its impact on the body and brains of foster children. The class further connects how the treatment modality TBRI (which we use) takes trauma into consideration when addressing behavior.

TIC (Trauma-Informed Care: TBRI Is Whole Child) 2 looks at all of the systems in the body that are affected by trauma and how we can uncover those needs by observing the patterns of behavior the child displays. The class goes further to discuss what TBRI strategy can be used to meet the need once it has been discovered.

These classes are required for all new foster families, and you must have attended the Orientation to attend this class.

Due to COVID-19 and social distancing measures, this meeting will take place on ZOOM. Please contact Jenny Hendricks to obtain the ZOOM link for this meeting.
